Grantvello Find funders

About Grantvello

Grantvello helps small and mid-size US nonprofits find foundations and federal programs that fit their work, using public records instead of guesswork.

What we do

Private foundations must file Form 990-PF with the IRS every year and list the grants they paid. The IRS publishes those returns as machine-readable files. We read every published return, link each grant to the recipient where we can, and turn the result into searchable funder profiles: who a foundation funds, how much, where and for what.

We also list federal grant opportunities from Grants.gov that name nonprofits as eligible applicants and check them every day.

What we do not do

Data sources

IRS Form 990-PF e-file data, the IRS Exempt Organizations Business Master File, IRS Publication 78 data and the automatic revocation list, and the Grants.gov opportunity listings. Details are on the methodology page.
